Hopewell Culture National Historical Park

If your a nature lover, this park is the perfect day trip. This National historical park includes archeological resources as well as a variety of hikes that vary in difficulty. The most striking Hopewell sites contain earthworks in the form of circles, squares, and other geometric shapes. Conical and loaf-shaped earthen mounds up to 30 feet high are often found in association with the geometric earthworks.
